Banister International is an executive recruiting and consulting firm that has between 20-50 employees and approximate revenue of $2,000,000. The CEO Patrick Sylvester and his daughters’ frequent the salons I manage which gave me the opportunity to briefly speak to him about his company while his daughters were getting serviced. This diverse company has a list of talented, experienced and educated individuals. The principle in Chicago, Elizabeth Plasse has been with the company since 2006, specializes in management training and corporate recruiting. These competencies helps defined what is means to be an effective HR professional. Banister International has strongly accomplished being a strategic positioner, credible activist, capability builder and resource innovator and integrator. According to Davis, M (2016) a credible activist is, “gained person-to-person, through small quantities of personal experience, simple acts and by doing what you say you will do.” By working directly with the decision makers and building a relationship they have a better understanding of the organization in general and its culture. Through clear communication they get to know their clients expectations and meet their needs, building trust The company website states that they provide, “personalized consulting and coaching expertise for individual professionals and organizations dealing with the unique challenges of growth, change, transition and work-life balance.” Offering these services to ensure a smooth integration and sustainable change making them a strong change champion and resource innovator and integrator. In LinkedIn their company states, “Banister International is a global executive search and consulting organization, partnering with progressive companies to build their employer brands by recruiting and delivering tomorrow’s leaders today.” The company is cloud based and has a …show more content…

States, “no mater how “mature” and competent people are… always expect that they will have feelings of confusion, ambiguity, and even anger.” I knew recruiting is a challenging job but executive recruiting seems to have more difficulties because it requires so much more than financial acknowledgement. What needs to be demonstrated is a certain amount of assurance and sensitivity an emotion females can easily relate to. Banister International was male dominated like most executive positions but that is changing! Which has caused this company to increase its diversity in hiring more females but I do not see much of an age diversity however that will probably change soon as well because in the tech industry it is not about age or education but their applicable knowledge that usually gets the
