Description of the Event: As a nurse working in the home healthcare industry, I try to apply my professional standards and holistic nursing theory to my individual nursing practice of believing that my nursing goal is to assist patients to regain their independence, decrease hospitalizations and help patients to learn to live with their illness or disability. Now I also believe in treating my patient in a holistic approach, meaning treating them as a whole entity (holistically). Treating them physically, mentally and spiritually. Therefore, I try to incorporate it in the nursing process. While doing so I can also incorporate a self-plan that will assist me to take care myself, therefore, I will able to be a nurse healer.
