My passion for nursing began with my father. He struggled for a long time, in and out of hospitals. Our whole family stayed with him to accompany and comfort him throughout his battle, with the Nurses and other Health Care Professionals they work together to give him the care and assurance that he is protected and safe. The care and compassion they provided were truly admirable and inspired me to be work in a healthcare field. Nursing is the profession that drew my attention and become my passion. Nursing is a demanding, but rewarding career choice. It is a career for those who are caring, reliable, can easily build relationships with the patients and their families and have the willingness to accompany and comfort each of them especially the times when they need a helping hand. I believe that I have the skills to become an effective nurse and I am willing to provide my time to be able to give the proper care that each service user’s needs. …show more content…
Gaining an understanding of a nurse’s integral role in providing patient care has inspired me to pursue a career in the field of nursing. Having an experience working in elderly people with dementia my interest develops and motivated me to become a nurse. The nursing home I work with is like my second home, the patients are treated like a family, the care given are appreciated because we work together to be able to give the attention and needs for every service users. Team work is a big impact of working in a healthcare field to be able to do the job properly and this includes, using good communication skills to each other to be able to work much
