Sample Letter To Vail Leavitt

Improved Essays
Dear Avery Paige Leavitt, a.k.a. Sketchers,

First and foremost, congratulations on making it to the age of 15. In the ancient days of low mortality rates, this would’ve been seen as a major accomplishment for someone to make it to your age. So let us celebrate your being alive today. Naturally, with celebrations such as these there must be gifts. Now I know you have a natural aversion to gifts and presents, so you’ll have to bear with me here. If you wish, you can refer to these “gifts” by the same name I referred to them when I was your age. That name, of course, was homework.
Now, now, slow your heartbeat. No need to panic, as you will see if you continue to read this letter. This “homework” is not mandatory, though I do highly recommend

With the countless number of slogans, it is often difficult to determine who has the right to a particular slogan. As a result, companies often argue over the right to their slogans. The correspondence letters between Mr. Herbert of the Coca-Cola Company and Mr. Seaver of Grove Press serve to highlight one of these arguments. In the correspondence letters, both company representatives use various rhetorical techniques to argue their point of view on the right to use the now-famous “It’s the real thing!” slogan. Ultimately, however, Mr. Seaver creates a witty rejoinder through the use of sarcasm and mockery that is more persuasive than the seemingly logical argument of Mr. Herbert.…

Dear J. Madison, I have the utmost respect for you, but something has been puzzling me lately, I simply cannot comprehend why you oppose the Connecticut Compromise so deeply. I despise that we are in an argument about the ways our government should work. The Constitution would not have been as grand as it is if not for you, however your Virginia Plan does not represent smaller states, such as my home in Connecticut, New Jersey, and many other states are in agreement. My idea is a compromise, which involves each state, it includes bicameral legislature, with one part proportional representation and the other half involving each state having one representative. I know you are a busy man, but I hope that you will consider voting for the good of…
