Step 1: Purpose of the Evaluation
The purpose of this evaluation is to examine the effects of the implementation of the iReady program in regard to student achievement in English language arts (ELA). The study will be conducted across 4th grade classrooms with a total of approximately 60 students. As a part of the school improvement plan and district initiative, our goal is to close the achievement gap in ELA and improve overall achievement on the Florida Standards Assessment (FSA) by the 6th percentile. Baseline assessment data indicated an increased population of student achievement gaps for students performing below grade level in English language arts. After meeting to discuss several student reports, our team found that the effectiveness of iReady highlighted significant improvement in reading achievement for both student performing below grade level and on/above grade level. Based on these results we will continue to implement the iReady program in order to continue to increase student achievement.

Teachers can view specific item analysis to further examine the types of questions students are being asked. Teachers are responsible for printing available lessons that target skills that student struggle with and use the data reports to drive their instructional practices in the classroom. Administrators and principals can determine what student are on track to passing FSA and what students qualify for RTI (i.e. students with disabilities,
