Richard is a forty-three year old Caucasian man who was born in the United States. He is an English speaking man, working as an accountant for a local business in town for the past fifteen years. He married to his loving wife, Sarah, of twelve years, but is recently separated due to marriage problems. Richard and Sarah have two children together, Brandon, 10, and Ella, 6, and they all live in a ranch style home, in the state of New Jersey. Sarah had owned a local yoga studio in the town, but had to sell the studio, because of the recession. Money has been a constant struggle in their marriage. Richard’s salary has not been sufficient to cover the family’s bills. Their home is now in foreclosure. Sarah had to rent an apartment in town with her two children, and Richard, until decisions are made in regards to their marriage. …show more content…
Barnabas Medical Center. Richard has been a diabetic since he was eleven years old. Before the separation, he was diagnosed with Kidney Disease. The thought of Richard losing his kidneys has increased his anxiety enormously. Richard’s employment has been displeased on his lack of work performance, before being told his diagnosis of Kidney Disease. He is also worried about the predicament his family is currently in. He is unable to work a full time schedule, because doctor appointments and feeling ill. The absences of work and his family have become an issue to his wife, Sarah and employment. It was bought to Richard’s attention that his job will not be able to keep him employed as full time status, if he is unable to work full time. If not employed full time, this brings a risk of him losing his health benefits and insurance. This is upsetting for Sarah on account of being worried about the well being of her and her
