I am intrigued by NYU's longstanding history of academic excellence and tradition of exceptionally preparing nurses for the workforce. I hope to be the absolute best nurse possible and I know that NYU will get me there. I understand that the curriculum is challenging and built to test my skills as a nurse; my goal is to use that experience tp learn and adapt to any environment I may encounter on the floor. This dedication to excellence inspires me to change people's lives. I do not just want to practice medicine, I want to make a difference. Every patient should feel welcome and comfortable in this extremely difficult time. Even those who do not have many options should feel their opinion is heard and respected. New York City and nursing coincide seamlessly, the city that never sleeps with the career that allows minimal time for slumber. Not only does the energy of NYC attract my energetic spirit, I also love the diversity and culture of the city. This community will allow me to experience human life in completely new ways, causing me to have an even greater respect for each individual. NYU's great diversity will teach me many lessons that I can apply to my medical training, however, NYU and the surrounding city is at the cutting edge of medical research, with several world renowned hospitals. I would love to take advantage of these resources to, again, fulfill my full potential as a nurse. I believe that research and patient care are not mutually exclusive, both must be utilized to continually provide proper treatments and to improve the lives of future generations.
