OG Maco is an up and coming hip hop artist. His fame can be accredited to his hit single called “Bitch You guessed it”. Although the song is far outside of the normal realm of music OG Maco creates and produces. A rather interesting song called “Get Down” is the first song in his recently released EP called Breathe. The cover art for the EP is what appears to be a fire, inferably from a riot or protest. In the middle, a dark human figure on is knees holding up a sign reading “Black Lives Matter”.

When deep thinking is provoked, it causes the average person to change his perspective, resulting in change in actions. By asking questions such as “Why niggas jump to aggression and why just wanna be victims?” it provokes this very thing. When OG Maco says “Why niggas jump to aggression” he’s referring to the typical black male and the state in which he is in. Why are most black male in a state of aggression? The culture in which most black males grow up in, a standard is unconsciously se of what type of a typical black male should act, behave, and essentially be. Being a “Real Nigga” is a lifestyle, one that’s dangerous and also violent. The violence is usual towards one black male to another. To follow up the question OG Macon asks, he adds “When everyone is aware that it 's niggas these niggas killin”. It’s obvious who does most of the killing. The lifestyle of a “Real Nigga” is often linked to more deaths of black males than any other cause. The movement black lives matter is a recent phenomenon about issues that have been present for a long time. Blacks have always been oppressed and wrongfully killed. At the same time that black males are in the state of aggression they are also feeling as if they are victims. With the recent shootings of unarmed black males, it has left them feeling as if they are the victims to every everything not realizing that its the lifestyle that’s really doing most of the damage. The average black male paradigm is usually reactive, and passive, and not very proactive. The automatic response to situations a black male is put in is usually, but not always, reactive. Then when it comes to other matters they are passive, thinking and feeling as if they are not in control of the outcomes it their
