Makala Relationship Essay

Same sex relationships are vital for women. With that being said, the same sex relationship I’m going to talk about in this paper is my relationship with my friend Makala. Makala and I have been friend since the third grade. Makala and I have crossed every hurdle of friendship has to offer, from going to different schools, having different friends and moving far away from each other. As of right now Makala and I are in a long distance friendship and can go days even weeks at a time without talking to each other but when we speak it’s like we never left off. It’s very safe to say based on the test of time that Makala is my best friend, but in this I will define our relationship and explain it more as we progress through this paper.
There are eight friendship types according to Rath, they are companion, champion, collaborator, builder, connector, energizer, mind opener and navigator. These were built off of the idea that each friend feels a different need in your life. I believe she’s my companion friend because she fits every characteristic of my ideal friend. In addition to that Makala and I have an unbreakable bond which is proved by the test of time. I also believe that Makala is my companion friend because we just get each other. Makala’s the friend I can just sit inside and talk to her for hours and we’re fine. We never have to go on random adventures to keep our friendship going. Makala is for sure the person I share everything with while she might not always be first she always finds out because I know whatever happens in my life she will not judge me. In this same sense, I feel like I am Makala’s companion friend, I’m the friend she’s never mad at and anything she has going on she can easily tell it to me because she knows I can share it with
