Marriage is seen by the general population as the union between two people who have agreed to spend the rest of their lives together till the day you die. All across the world marriage has different definitions and meanings. For example in the United States today there are laws and policies in place to define marriage a legal contract. Each party has rights and rules they have to follow to have the marriage be legal. The husband and wife are each supposed to be in control of each other’s sexual services, property and labor. The debts of each member are then shared. Each of these obligations and rules vary in followership depending on the society or personal preference. Marriage is a very broad topic because of its massive impact on life on this Earth. Marriage has different meanings throughout history and present culture today. With topics of same sex marriage becoming into the spot light in today’s the definition of marriage has to be defined. The definition of marriage is the partnership or unionship legally recognized as the relationship of two partners who mutually have a romantic chemistry that have chosen to agree to a relationship that has equal rights and responsibility in the pursuit of happiness.
