Ron Hall was one of the authors of Same Kind of Different As Me a story of a man who was a slave growing up, who grew up to save the town of Fort Worth, Texas and a man who lived on a plantation, who grew up to help the man saving the town. Ron Hall was born in 1950, 56. Ron was a Dallas art dealer. Ron married Deborah Hall and had 3 kids with her. Deborah slowly became ill, time and time again, before bowing over to cancer. In 1998 Ron began his start of trying to befriend Denver Moore, the man who would save the town. Denver Moore was born in January 1937, and sadly passed in March of 2012, in Fort Worth, Texas. Denver lived a rough childhood, with family members dying and living in slavery. One day he got on a train and ended up in Fort Worth. …show more content…
After Deborah’s death in 2000, Denver promised to help the homeless forever. After Deborah’s death Denver moved in with Ron and they began writing Same Kind of Different As Me which was picked up and published, by the Christian publisher Thomas Nelson. The book reached number 8 on the New York Times Bestsellers list and remained in the top 30 for 3 ½ years. Denver made more than 400 appearances for organizations. Denver Moore and Ron Hall, along with 3 other authors were invited to attend lunch at the White House. Denver stated
