The song “Same Drugs” by Chance the Rapper is literally about drugs and losing friendships. In the song, he reflects on his friend recovering from drugs, while he is still using. This is shown by the line “We don’t do the same drugs no more.” Further, Chance feels as though his friend is not the same person anymore because she has matured after becoming clean. This is exemplified by the line “When did you change, Wendy, you’ve aged, I thought you’d never grow up.” The line“Why did you stop?
