To whom it may concern: Mrs. Breanna is an exceptional example of hard work and dedication. I had the privilege of being her Physics teacher last year where I was able to witness firsthand her ability to persevere, manage time, and aspire for success. One of Breanna’s most admirable traits was her ability to manage her time and still succeed. She is an incredibly hardworking individual that despite being a fulltime student, she is also a state champion track runner which consumed much of her after school availability. In addition, she also had a part-time job to take up the last bit of her free time.…

Erika Helmsberger had a rocky start to college, but in the short amount of time since this school year started, I’ve seen her develop into one of the most thoughtful and compassionate students on our floor. Erika has not only shown her ability to adapt to a new environment, but also her ability to help others find their place. There’s a whiteboard on Erika’s door where she regularly writes questions for other residents to answer. The board often asks something simple such as a favorite song, but they let residents take some time to stop and think.…

I walked into my high school for the first time a shy, naive, non-resourceful kid who didn’t think that he would need to study for the classes he had take and that high school would be a breeze like middle school was. It’s easy to say that I was clearly not ready for the challenging classes that faced me. I ended my first trimester devastated, but determined to improve my performance come next trimester. As an intrinsically motivated student, I decided that if I was going to get the grades I desired, I would need to do something I had never done before, and that was to study regularly and consistently. The next trimester, I put my old habits to rest as I stopped procrastinating, and started to use the resources that I hadn’t even tried to use…
