In my perspective, I connect with Sam because I overcame obstacles that were a bother for me every day and I tried and learn from my mistakes. For example, in the first season Sam overcomes the death of his girlfriend (soon to have been fiancé) and how he adapts to being a hunter again (Kripke, Supernatural, Season 1). In fact, season one of Supernatural says that even in the darkest of times, family will have your back. Sam Winchester is not only a moose with long hair – which is what Crowley calls him when he teases Sam – but an actual human being inside of a television show with feelings, experiences, and mistakes. Being that he is basically a human makes Sam Winchester a good character in supernatural. Each season showed me the way he taught and overcame each obstacle in every episode that is why we can never give up because there is always something better for us. But I must add that Sam Winchester is a great character played by a very good actor that showed his emotions, and how he dealt with it. That is why supernatural caught my attention because I felt like I can relate somewhat to what he taught and the struggles he had with his family and
