Sam Walton Compare And Contrast

The two essays I chose to compare and contrast are Sam Walton/Jay Z and Serving in Florida. The purpose of the authors is to inform the audience about how the character of these to essays Sam Walton/Jay Z and Serving in Florida succeed staring from nothing and their evolution throughout their life, in a legal or illegal way of obtaining money. In the story of Sam Walton, he started from nothing and kept growing due of his ambition of progressing, he was a very cheap man, didn’t care much about fancy stuff. I think it’s very interesting how he manages his life style, humble and hard worker, always thinking with a big picture for his and his family future. Which is very similar to Barbara in the Serving America story. Barbara was a very hard worker, in order to survive and be able to pay her rent and all her needs she had to work two jobs and forget about what tiredness was. Mr. Walton even though he went to the army when he came back he was always focus on retail and be able to grow on a business life. On the other hand, Barbara was just simple and poor, no ambition at all, but stress and overwhelming jobs and not help from her family. Life was hard and the people around her take her to a point where she was feeling that she failed in life. Also, in contrast to Barbara, Sam Walton and Jay Z became millionaire or billionaire. These two essays overall tell us how the characters are similar by how they had to work hard for what they wanted. I think doing what you love helps a person grow in their career. Maybe if Barbara loved her job, she could grow into a management role and then possibly own her own restaurant.
