Sam Richards Video 'The Wisdom Of Sociology'

In Sam Richards video, "The Wisdom of Sociology," he speaks of his personal freedom and independence to guide him to his own destiny. But he soon realized that everyone is connected in a way, even if we don't know it. Regarding the "public issues" and "private troubles," he connects these concepts into his own life by speaking of a dark time of pain and suffering, and to end it all by committing suicide. He even used a bottle of pills as a visual to show that to accomplish the solution of his pain and suffering, was to take all the pills and end his life. Richards brings in statistics of suicide rates. His example was that for every person who decides to take their own life, there are 100 other people within that interconnected web who will
