Writing about God Why? Do you ever feel like God is not answering your prayers? In Langston Hughes “Salvation” he shares with us a time as a child he doubted God's existence. As a child he went to church with his aunt, to be “saved” but he could not feel or see what they said he should have. He then faked it to please the church but felt guilty and sad because he was not sure if he believed in God anymore. He took a point in his childhood where he realized everything he is told may not be true, but also came to the realization that he has to figure out what he believes in.
