The Salvation Army by: Isabel H. An amazing charity is The Salvation Army. The Salvation Army charity is a worldwide charity with many donors, followers, and supporters around the world. Who help the charity out and give support. The Salvation Army is a Christian denominational church and an international charitable organization. This organization was found July 2nd of 1865 in London by one-time Methodist circuit- preacher William Booth. Mr.Booth made this charity to help the hungry homeless and in need families or individuals physically and emotionally. Mr.Booth helped them with religion and they also have shelter that feed and keep the homeless out of the street. The Salvation Army helps the unfortunate people and families in a crisis. They help them out by giving the basics like …show more content…
Some of the youth groups are The Boys and Girls Club, Crock Center, and more youth centers. The Salvation Army has also made youth camps and recreation centers for the summer. The summer camps help low-income family children enjoy the fresh air,exercise, and meet new friends. They also hold after school programs so children have a safe place to go after school. In the after school program kids have a safe and supervised area to play and learn they also provide music, art,and sports programs for kids in low-income neighborhoods. I choose to write about this charitable foundation because The Salvation Army helps many people and families in needs. They also help children with after school programs and summer activities. They very much help to communities with not enough money to have a better community for the people, families, and kids in these communities. This charity helps these people and families so their in a better community than they are in now. Also The Salvation Army helps out the homeless with many things they need to survive. That’s why I choose this charitable
