This past week’s presentation provided several insights into my future ministry as a Salvation Army officer. Like, the Generals discussed so far their ministry began by receiving the call. Their witness and faithfulness to the call, the Army, and the Lord is source of encouragement that I can draw from in my own officership. William Booth received his Call to establish a ministry that had no resemblance to the ministry of his day. His call and passion was to the poor and not to visions of grandeur. The result of his call is The Salvation Army that we have today that minister in a 123 countries around the world. In the same way as an officer, I am called to serve the poor, the Corps, and our Lord Jesus Christ; not to seek personal achievements
