Salvador Dali Influences

Born May 4th 1989, Salvador Felipe Jacinto Dali Y Domenech (A.K.A) Salvador Dali was going to introduce the next generation of what is known as Surrealism. During the late 1900’s Salvador Dali was enrolled in a public school where ironically spent his days dreaming rather than studying. As every parent would, Dali’s father acknowledge Dali’s lack of academic interest and decided to send him to a French speaking school. However, as time elapsed his parents then discovered the talent that Dali possessed and encouraged him to practice his artwork. The support of his parents was the initiative to Dali’s success in the future as his first exhibition was held at his home. The small steps begin inspiring the work of Dali, but also the unfortunate events that occurred throughout his teenage phase were a factor as well. His imagination and perspective of things opened new doors for his success and ambition droved him to learn from other strong Surrealism painters. For example, Pablo Picasso an influence in several pieces of artwork that Dali displayed. However, by the 1940 Dali created his first painting in exile in the United States (Unparalled collection of Salvador Dali Art Works). To modern day the entitled masterpiece “ The Persistence of Memory” has many interpretations and yet many unanswered questions. Dali’s way of expressing and perspectives of life created meaning and confusion in his painting. According to the Art Beyond sight, Dali’s garnered attention through his provocative exploits and rhetorical behavior, his paintings were central to the development of the Surrealist aesthetic.
