Is Salt Lake City prepared for a Zombie Apocalypse? Probably not, no. Nobody could ever be completely prepared for an Apocalypse, let alone an entire city. Whether it be mentally or physically prepared. Not everybody is prepared for what we have to deal with now, let alone when they’re constantly being invaded by flesh eaters. What would definitely be needed is medical care, plenty of non infected food and drinks, safe shelters, weaponry, transportation, power, service, and good leadership. It would be very hard to live and maintain all of that for everybody. There may be people who have advantages and may have a better chance of living longer, but the city as a whole? In order for that we would need power and service. We might have it for a while, but if one thing went wrong, how would we fix it? No one is willing to go outside, and maybe they wouldn’t even have the proper tools. How would we know where would be safe to go if we couldn’t keep in touch with the safe zones? How would we know if there are any, or anyone left? Once the connection between us and whoever’s at the other line is cut, then that’s it. We wouldn’t know if there was anyone else after a while. Unless some traveled, even then, it would be hard. It would both be dangerous and take a lot of time. Whether the ones who travel survive or not, they’ll probably never make it back depending on how far they search for others. What kind of transportation would they take though? If they took a car, then they’re taking a chance of it breaking down and no way to fix it. If they rode a horse, then something drastic could happen to it. If they rode a bicycle, the tire could pop. No matter what, if their transportation fails, then they could be stranded with nowhere to go and nothing to eat. In conclusion, Salt Lake City is not adequately equipped for a Zombie Apocalypse. No one is prepared and the city as a whole is definitely not prepared for a war with the undead. There are not enough resources in our city to survive. A supernatural occurrence like this would probably dominate the world and begin the process of human
