Understanding the Impact:

On a daily basis, the government knocks and regulates different services that include protection, electricity, health care, keeping and water. The government, on a fundamental level, plays a role in how and when trash is disposed. Taxation is also a control of the government that determines the amount of money citizen are allowed to keep as well as how much citizens must pay. This directly impacts the amount of money citizens have on a daily basis. The government has control over tax cuts and tax relief.Health care is another responsibility of the government that impacts the lives of citizens daily. Typically, sales tax revenue is added to the county & general funding, which is then dispersed to support community needs such as public schools. The school system uses the funding to purchase textbooks, pay educators, build new schools and other educational purposes.
Keeping Your Neighborhood Safe:
Public safety employees that include law enforcement officers, emergency management employees and firefighters are all paid through government funding. Most of that fiances comes from sales and property taxes in your area. When you feel proud that you live in a safe area or when an ambulance or fire engine arrives quickly and handles your emergency, you can thank your sales tax payments. Training of new employees, purchasing new ambulance equipment and staffing adequate numbers of people are all possible because of the sales tax collected in the city and county stores.
Parks and Recreation:
While you pay a minimal fee for your children to take part in city-sponsored sports leagues, the bulk of financial support for their games, practices and fields comes from the city coffers. Sales tax revenue, added to the city and county general funds, is often dispersed to the parks department accounts and used to enhance the services and activities offered to the public.
