Salem Witch Trials: A Horrible And Devastating Time In History

“The four year old was arrested, kept in jail for 8 months,and watched her mother carried off to the gallows.” Dorcas Good was the daughter of Sarah Good one of the salem witch victims who did not survive. She was only one of the 20 people who did not make it through this time alive in 1692.The Salem Witch Trials were a horrible and devastating time in history because of innocent people being tortured and jailed, society was corrupted and at a low, so called ‘witches’ were being killed. Soposibe witches were being tourchered during the salem witch trials . Over 200 people were jailed and/or torched in this time span of less than a year.This shows the sheer amount of people who were victim during this time. Nineteen people were killed on gallows hill, a hill in Salem where people were killed. These people were hanged but the other death was a man who got crushed during torture. These people were accused and convicted of witchcraft and and work with the devil leading to the death of These people. Bridget Bishop was the first to be hanged on the hill, Later more people were killed and afterwards they now have a memorial to commemorate their deaths. Because of an unsustainable society and unnecessary torture and death the salem village trials were a horrible time in history.The community was far too uncomfortable to live in and death was brought about unnecessarily and wrongly. people were even blaming each other for a crime in which they did not commit and leading to their deaths.So, when you play a game referencing this or your see a movie making fun of these trials think back to all the people who died during that awful time and
