She had family and friends, a cat, two bats, a rat, and a fish!
Morgan was her name, and the cat’s name was Salem;
The others had names too, but this one’s not about them!
Because the story you are about to be told,
Took place on one autumn night when skies were clear and air cold.
Morgan had wanted to take her broom out to fly,
But Salem looked at all of them before up at the sky.
“All of us, up there, on this cold fall night?
That’s surely an idea just meant for pure fright!”
Morgan did frown and ask him but why,
And little dear Salem was quick to reply.
"Well a cat, two bats, a rat, and a fish could never all fit on your broom - I’d surely be squished!”

But where was dear Salem in all this commotion?
Why, back in their home, lying on books of spells and potions.
“Salem, my friend, are you not to come?”
“No, I believe I’ll still be around when you’re all done.”
“You love broom rides though, at least until tonight- are you sure everything is completely alright?”
Salem let out a long meow as reply, looking down for a moment and closing his eyes.
“I don’t want to stop you from going on your broom, but you cannot convince me there’d ever be room.
I was your cat with my perch at the front,
But now I stay back to read of famous treasure hunts.
Go now, my Morgan! Fly away soon!
Because there’s no way there ever could be room on the broom.”
Salem turned slowly before he flopped right back down, and Morgan laughed softly, a smile replacing her frown.
“Salem, you goof! Get off those books!
Come out to my broom, come take a look!”
Salem and Morgan went from in to outside, and little kitty Salem could not believe his eyes. For there were the others all sitting in wait, and Morgan’s little broom could now fit six, seven, or eight!
“You see, little Salem, we can all use my broom!
Because if we share all our space, there will always be
