The amazing things about turtles, salamanders, and Toads are that they have their own styles. There are similar species, and subspecies of turtles, salamanders, and toads. Also the habitats of the amphibians and reptiles are very interesting to now. When you see them, you should know them descriptor of the turtles and salamanders and also the toads to. Can’t forget the natural history of these amphibians and reptiles. We can't forget how they reproduce. Amphibians and reptiles of Monroe County are interesting with these species, habitats, the funny looks, and the history of the animals.

The snapping turtle lives in almost any bodies of water it can be found where there is vegetation (Phillips 143). The fowler’s toad lives around flooded fields, ditches and other bodies of water are available for reproduction (Phillips 103). Salamanders live in ponds, lakes, swamps, and permanent streams. They look for pools with no fish ("Illinois”). The bullfrog lives in permanent bodies of water , lakes, ponds, rivers, and slow streams. our forest, prairies , and disturbed habitats (Phillips 129). When the turtle looks for a home she is looking for a nesting spot for the turtles to hatch and are found around sand, soil, for protection ("Living”). The false map turtle lines in rivers, and backwaters with mud at the bottom. The false map turtle sites around basking spots (Phillips 157). The tiger salamander lines in woodlands, forest, orchards, pastures, prairies, and cultivated ground. Rarely when breeding ponds aren't disturbed they will be in the breeding ponds anywhere (Phillips 73). The painted turtle lives in a frequent aquatic Habitat that the are aven more common in shallow waters, and weed patches (Phillips 147). The fowlers toad is (8cm) long medium size it has a belly and chest of whitish; gray and few spots on it chest and belly (Phillips 103). The longtail salamander is (16cm) long, and a yellowish ,orange color with scattered black blotches along its sides and the back with a (7cm) long tail which is very long for a salamander to have (Phillips 81). The smallmouth salamander is (17cm) long. Has 2-3 rows of teeth in its mouth. Costal grooves 14-16 limbs. With short toes than the other common salamanders(Phillips 71). The snapping turtle is (49cm) long; this turtle is able to bite your finger of that is how aggressive it is. The snapping turtle is also a brown, oliver, green, gray, and black colors (Phillips 143). A painted turtle layers (5-6in) long white eggs ,and 6 to 12 eggs are laid by the female turtle (Zim 38). The Snapping turtle is 20 to 35 lbs, and 18 cm unsafe turtles to have.
