Hook: Salva's everyday struggle has shown how difficult life can be. In Sudan, people had to go through some of his exact problems every day in the Sudanese civil war.
Transition Sentence(name of the book and brief background knowledge of Sudanese war and Salva): In a Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park, Salva experiences many challenges as a result of the Sudanese War.
Thesis/Claim: Challenges such as, Salva's Uncle had died in the war, Salva had to cross the Nile river which were crocodile infested.
