St. Maximilian Kolbe
Saint Maximilian Kolbe was born in the kingdom of Poland on January 8, 1894. His name was not always Maximilian, he was given the name Raymond for his baptismal name. His mother was polish but his father was german. He developed a strong religious faith at an early stage of his life. He promoted the Immaculate Mary and also was known as the apostle of consecration to Mary. his whole life was strongly influenced by the vision that he had of Mary when he was only twelve years old.
