Saint Philip Neri is an important person to learn about. He does have a feast day in the church it’s on May 26. He was born on July 21,1515 and he died on May 26, 1595. Saint Philip Neri is from Florence Italy. He was officially recognized by the church on March 12, 1622. Saint Philip Neri does have symbols in the church they are lily’s, a rosary and an angel holding a book. The reason his symbol is a lily is because it symbolizes his purity in his heart and soul. The reason he chose a rosary is because of his love of God. The reason he chose an angel holding a book is because his love of joke books.

He was the patron of Rome. He is also the third apostle of Rome. He was the patron Saint of joy. He obeyed and found humility
