The saint that I have chosen for my confirmation is saint Melangell. This incredible saint was an independent princess who was born and raised in the country of Ireland. She does not approve of hunting especially hunting hares. Saint Melangell first started caring a lot for the species when she was in Derwyn Hills and a prince was hunting hares and she convinced the prince to stop the hunt. She was given a large piece of land by the prince and she dedicated the land for anyone who needed to be sheltered. This large piece of land was also used for any animals that needed the safety and refuge. Saint Melangell stopped the hare hunting throughout the land, even later on with her passing.
