Saint Francis Of Assisi Research Paper

Saint Francis of Assisi is one of the most beloved and well known saints of the world today. Saint Francis was born on 1181. Saint Francis was born into a wealthy family. Francis later participated in the fourth crusade. Francis obviously wanted more than wealth but to be a noble knight and have power. Most troops from Assisi were butchered but those who were wealthy were to be imprisoned then later ransomed out. After a year in a prison Francis was ransomed out.

However the only battle he fought was the one from Assisi. Francis had a dream that God told him what he was doing was wrong and that he had to return home. This calling has not just been calling him for just that night. God has been waiting on him to converse for twenty-five years.He did return home, and he was humiliated for only fighting the one day. He was called a coward and his father raged at him for the waste of money on armor.

One day Francis was riding in the woods. He saw a leper ,Francis was a man who loved beauty, and he hated deformity.
