The Sailfish

Description
The sailfish (Istiophorus platypterus or Istiophorus albicans) is a large fish that lives in the warm ocean waters. They are usually blue to gray in color with stripes and dots. Their color can vary, depending on the excitement of the fish. A full grown sailfish can weigh between 120 -220 pounds. They can be as long as 5- 11 ft in length. They have a large bill that extends from their face and their fins create a large fan like shape.
Habitat
Sailfish fish live in oceans. They like warm water. You can find most sailfish in the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean and the Indian Ocean.
Diet
Sailfish are carnivores. This means they eat meat. They like to eat squid, mackerel, tuna and flying fish. They are a predator for many
