Other opportunities for Sage Valley are present in the form of parental support. Parents are the great untapped commodity for the school. A shared input in district decisions includes the interest of students and staff in the future planning and implementation of district policies.
Threats exist in the unknown aspects of recent and upcoming changes to both Sage Valley and CCSD. The coming addition of a second high school, transitioning ninth grade students from the junior high to the high school, along with the transition from a block schedule to a seven period day leads to a level of uncertainty for administration, teaching staff, and students. According to Mr. Quinn other threats to Sage Valley include the upcoming election for the local school board and the upcoming presidential election. Mr. Quinn comments, “Not knowing what personal agendas of each candidate” (2016) is a concern to Sage Valley and CCSD. He also mentioned the upcoming presidential election and the varied position of each candidate in reference to education policy as being a threat for all
