Safety is very important in our facility. Therefore, since I have started I made sure we had a meeting during our lunch break discussing the safety protocols. The purpose of this was to inform everyone what to do and where to go if something dangerous ever occurs. With so many things that have happened lately in the world it was important for me to make sure everyone feels safe and secure working here. I do hope that we never get to actually do any of these things but if there is an accident at least everyone can be prepared and is aware of the steps that need to be taken. This is a serious matter and I think everyone should know where to exist in serious situations.

I ran to everyone and alarmed them to leave. By the time everyone was running out the cops were outside. Since everyone knew the safety protocols everyone knew where to exist. I have never been so happy in my life to see cops before. After this I canceled future appointments for the day since the cops are in the facility. I decided not to aware the patients of what had just happened because I did not want to scare them away. Personally if I was them and knew about this situation I would not return. Also, the patients that were inside, I made sure to call them afterwards and follow up with them making sure they would come back for future appointments. The patients I could not get in contact with I left them a message and apologized for the convenience. After two hours of this situation we called all the appointments for the afternoon and confirmed with them that we were open and they could still come. This situation cost the company a lot of money. Many patients were not seen and this affected us. I was upset this happened but grateful no one got hurt. I think no matter how prepared you think you are you can never avoid dangerous situation. This could have happened to anyone and any organization. Unfortunately, it had to happen to us but it was a learning
