The OSHA violations that are of concern are the electrical section within the regulations. If you have to run an electrical cord across to another outlet, this could cause damage to the cord itself if someone in the office happens to step on the cord or they could also have a cart or chair that can run over the cord. This is also a safety concern for the other workers since there is a possibility of them tripping. I believe the safety officer handled the situation good the first few times. They found a safety hazard and did their part in making sure it was put away and corrected. The safety officer did have the right to confiscate the heater and extension cord because the employee would not comply with the safety rules. She was asked multiple
