As a member of the Executive team, I feel it is necessary to inform you of the issues I have recently become aware of regarding the Roanoke branch. In the past several months, we have had an Art Director and an Account Executive resign from the company, along with a threat of three Graphic Designers and four Copywriters following suit. As I understand, the morale of the Roanoke employees has significantly decreased recently due to having to work overtime with little, or no notice, and without any compensation. In addition, there are also reports of management rejecting or reworking creative efforts of the Roanoke staff without feedback or consultation, which has contributed to the decrease in morale of the employees. Consequently, these issues…

Mr. Brownstein gave an update on the Unified Managed Care Strategic Plan and that the Board appointed committee met with County staff and discussions continue around a joint strategic planning process. In that discussion there was an agreement that Mr. Butler and Ms. Tomcala would continue to work on a variety of issues and those discussions are going well. Also discussed was the idea of a strategic planning process and it was agreed to move forward with the idea to have a Managed Care Strategic Plan generated out of that process and has asked for volunteers to be part of the Strategic Planning group. The Board of Supervisors (BOS) had expressed interest in having discussions on Integrated Managed Care and that we would report back to BOS.…

The purpose of ESF 4 is to establish uniform procedures for effective coordination of emergency response and personnel assignments upon implementation of the Emergency Operations Plan during a disaster or other catastrophic event. It is the responsibility of all personnel to be familiar with this function and the responsibility of the Chief Officers to provide for the safety and accountability of all personnel.…

Would you rather be safe in dangerous time with no freedom, or free, with no means of safety? This question is asked, and tested worldwide, everyday. My peers and I have looked through the history of the rise, and fall of feudal Europe and Japan, through documents that show that in this time, safety over freedom, was appreciated. Although, after a plaque swept in, this system was overthrown, and lead to the death of many as they could not leave their lords properties, and practically waited for the plaque to come for them. Had they had the freedom to flee, they could have gotten away in time.…

Action: Q9 Identify the reasons for agreeing the purpose, content, layout, quality standards and deadlines for the production of documents When we produce a document we need to ensure it is fit for purpose and delivered on time. In the attempt to call the attention to the importance of improving the quality and health care outcomes, in 1999 the Institute of Medicine had submitted a report called To Err Is Human: Building a Safer Health System. Although more than ten years ago, this report stressed the need of a redesign in the process of the patient’s care, little progress in the improvement of quality and safety has been achieved (Clark, 2013). Even though there were some important initiatives in the implementation of quality and safety after the report, only in 2013 The Joint Commission made a significant contribution in order to accelerate the process and enforced quality and safety through standards such as National Patient Safety Goals and Core Measures of nursing…
