I am able to avoid committing unethical academic actions through time management. I try to put myself in a position where I don't ever have to consider violating my academic integrity by completing tasks well before their due date so I don't panic and have to rely on others. Wolves Clayton Hull-Crew wrote an editorial on the US-Represented website reflecting on the reintroduction of wolves into the Yellowstone National Park. Hull-Crew states that the wolves have been responsible for a major ecological shift beginning at the top of the food chain, slowly making its way to the bottom, effecting everything from beaver dams to river bed erosion. Hull-Crew claims that the wolves have created what is called a “Trophic Cascade” of events. Almost four years ago, I entered Clackamas High School as a confused, shy, awkward freshman. Soon after entering the hallways of this school, I was assigned to a Freshman Assurance group and met with the group leaders. My group leaders were vivacious seniors, who were condescending and gave very little advice on high school. I felt a little intimidated by them, and the activities that they led made most of the freshmen in our group uncomfortable. They told us about their craziest stories and about the teachers who weren't of the most pleasant experience.…

Throughout the semester we have discussed many different topics but becoming an ethical teacher really was in my interest. There is a lot of reasons why you need to be an ethical teacher. Teachers are held to high standards because they are the ones that are with the students each and every day and the students look up to their teacher. One teacher states that, “Without systematic instruction in ethics, students would have no reference points to guide their practice of journalism except money and status, and we all know the schlock that produces. So I teach them ethical principles, along with models of ethical decision making.…
