Sad Song We The Kings

The theme of “Sad Song” by We the Kings is without certain people in our life, we are less happy. It seems that all our life, we search for “the one,” but some of us come so close, only to lose it all. In the song one phrase of the lyrics say “without you, I feel broke, like I’m half of a whole.” (Lines 7-8) By using these words, the artist is saying she is his other half and they fix each other with their love. Another quote is “without you, I feel torn like a sail in a storm.” (Lines 10-11). What the artist is saying is that he is useless without her. This quote directly correlates with the theme because he can’t live without her. Another phrase is “without you I’m just a sad song.” This heavily applies to the theme because his life is sad
