Sacrifice In The Frank Family

Courage, compassion and sacrifice are difficult to show, especially when you are in the position that the Frank family was in. All of the characters showed a great amount of all these traits. It's amazing to think what some of them did for each other because they were all in a life or death situation because the Nazis were after them, and not just them but all of the Jews and the people who were helping them. Miep, whom was one of the main characters who showed courage, and sacrifice. The Nazis who at the time were after jews, but Miep wasn't a Jew. Miep also wasn't one of the people who was openly against the Nazis. So why would she be involved in a life or death situations like this? Well, this young woman helped the Frank family and their guests that joined them go into and stay in hiding until they were caught. Maybe they didn't help much as Miep and the others, but they did help. People such as Victor Kugler, Johannes Kleiman, and Bep Voskuijl. These people were the only employees that knew that just above their workplace, there were eight jews that were in hiding. To know this information and not rat anybody out is pretty brave, especially knowing that if anyone, especially the green police knew they would immediately be punished and possibly just thrown in a concentration or death camp just as the other Jews and people that they didn't like. To say that I would do the same exact thing that these people did in the Anne Frank story would be an overstatement because that would be very difficult. To show courage, compassion, and sacrifice in this time in that moment just shows what good people they were. They weren't just good people they were great people, with a story that would change history
