Sacrifice In Beowulf

Beowulf is a story about courage and sacrifice. There is three main points that make the story powerful. That is the setting, the attack of Grendel, and Beowulf’s men. Explaining these three things will show the diversity and concept within the story.Without the courage and sacrifice of Beowulf the story wouldn't be as in depth with the style of Beowulf. Courage is within and sacrifice is what begins the story... The setting of beowulf is sorrow,unending, and violent.Beowulf was considered a “Mighty Lord”, and a heroic figure to the Geats. However He was the strongest of the Geats and protected his men with his life, he couldn't always make things conquer. In the setting, Beowulf was a noble birth. And with this brings the story of a mighty hero with many flaws but also many strengths. Another main reason that the story shows great courage is with the battle of Beowulf and Grendel. However without his men he could accomplish the duties set upon himself to do. The courage of his men were great but they couldn't always handle the task they were set out to do. However no matter the situation nor the circumstances, the Geats stood by Beowulf and protected him with their life. Without Beowulf's men he could not have became the hero everyone's expectations were set to be. In conclusion the story was a representation of great power and courage. The story setting brings great detail to the story, and shows the variety of colors of the text. However without the battle and beowulf's men the story would be incomplete. Beowulf is a heroic figure with great will and sacrifice. Without the setting,battle,and men that helped beowulf, the story wouldn't be the heroic story of braveness, sacrifice, and courage.
