Sacrifice Debt

Decent Essays
In one sense, it doesn't matter what the sin is. Jesus will forgive you. He loves you and draws the elect to Himself when they are ready. He is not trying to chase anyone away if they have committed sins such as fornication, lies, theft, adultery or whichever sin: you name it. He let His body of flesh die on the cross, out of love, as the final payment for your hell forever sin debt. There are many reasons people sin, yet all the sane people would rather have God show them favor. Even if someone has a hard heart, deep down they would rather be loved by someone. Some people are too crazy to think that they want Love, yet if they were sane, then they would want Love. Even if you don't know it, you would want God's Spirit in you if you understood.

According to 1 Corinthians, sin is causing another believer to sin. It explains in more depth that sin is not glorifying God through one’s actions, something that causes one’s neighbor to stumble, or something that hinders the Gospel from being spread. All of one’s actions should glorify God. When a believer’s actions do glorify God, it gives others an example to follow…

1.How do the statements of Jesus in texts such as Matthew 5:17-20, 6:14-15, and 7:1-2 align with the Christian doctrine of salvation by grace alone through faith in Christ? There are multiple ways the texts from the sermon on the mount align with Christian doctrine and salvation through Christ. Jesus’ messages from the sermon on the mount model the need of grace to be saved. According to Jesus in one of the passages listed above, “unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.”…

I think Senkbeil makes a good point in saying that; although, baptism may cleanse of our sins it doesn’t give us a free pass to do whatever we want and sin. I feel like today many Christians may do things that they know are wrong or sinful but feel that if they just pray that they will be forgiven everything will be forgotten, but that isn’t how it works. We constantly have a struggle with our “inner Adam” and may be drawn to sin, but as a Christian we should try to do good. However, with that said that isn’t always the case. Another good point that Senkbeil makes is that simply confessing our wrong doings to a friend or praying at night isn’t enough for God to truly except our sins.…

“Sin” makes us think of an immoral act in the eyes of God. In different religions, we see the value of doing what is right and we see what is forbidden. The sin and concept of doing what has been right never allowed humanity to be perfect. This is different from other religions, because it starts from the beginning of time. Christians go back to “original sin” which was conceived from Adam and Eve.…
