A young police officer looks over and notices that Detective Dan is lying in a pool of blood behind a cop car. “Sir are you okay?” Dan thought about his son, his wife, and all the good things in life, before he passed out from blood loss. The young police officer quickly called the ambulance and Detective Dan was transported to the ICU, nearly dead. Earlier that night, Thomas, Detective Dan’s son was sitting at home with his father as they watched the Mets game. “These Mets are something else this year dad,” said Thomas. “I think they are going to make the World Series this year,” his father replied. “Hey dad, can you help me with my baseball swing?” asked Thomas. “Sure son, let’s go fix it right now,” his father replied. The two went outside and began to work on Thomas’ swing. After a few minutes of adjustment, his father found the right spot for Thomas’ swing. Just a minor adjustment and now Thomas was able to hit the ball better than he had ever done before. Thomas and his father returned to the house and then his father’s phone rang. “Hello. Really? What did you do?” asked his father. “I put your shooters in jail, by using the right way of going above and beyond the bureaucrats and going straight to the justice system,” Thomas said proudly. “I don’t know what to say, son,” his father said quizzically. “It’s all over dad, you don’t have to say anything. I did this for you because you have been a great father and I thought that I needed to repay you,” replied
