A bright blue sky hangs over a warm evening day. The smell of trees and fresh cut grass lingers in the air. Dogs run freely around the yard, cats sleep quietly in the shed minding their own business. Chickens roam eating anything they please. The warm summer breeze blows the few leaves that have fallen. A short small dirty blond girl was barefoot jumping on a trampoline. The warm breeze blows through her hair.
A couple summers ago during school, Shelby jumped off of a trampoline and her knee bent the wrong way. “Ahh, well that hurts,” Shelby said to herself quietly. “Oh my god, oh my god, is it broken? After telling her the story we said “Well let’s take x-rays of Shelby’s knee and well see what’s wrong with it,” the doctor said in a scientific way “Is that ok?”
“Yea.” replied Shelby’s mom.
After the x-rays the doctor straightened leg which hurt since she couldn’t bend it. The doctor told Shelby that her knee was filled with fluid which caused the swelling. She told her that her knee was sprained. The doctor said that she would not need a brace, but not to put too much pressure and weight on it.
After the doctors shelby and her mom decided to go to the store to get ibuprofen for her knee. After the store on the way back home we stopped to get something to eat for lunch. When they got home she put more ice on her knee and decided to watch a movie in her room until her knee felt a little better. The next day she went back school.
“What happened to you Shelby?” Audrey asked her in a confused voice. “Why are you limping? Audrey said still confused. Shelby replied “I sprained my knee a couple days ago.
After about a week or 2, her knee felt better and the swelling had gone down. After awhile shelby could walk and run on her knee
