It was 1800, I was 11 years old when I was kidnapped by warriors from the Hidatsa tribe. While they were attacking my village, they killed many villagers then they took me to their Hidatsa Village.
It was a very long journey, I would say they took me around 500 miles away from my home. It seemed like the walk took forever; my legs felt like they were both broken and my whole entire body felt like it couldn’t move another muscle.
I finally laid down, first time in a while, but the Hidatsa’s were not very happy about it.
“Get up Sacajawea!” yelled the Hidatsa’s.
“Sacajawea?” I questioned.
“You over there!” they exclaimed as they pointed at me.
I instantly got up and walked over to them, confused why they were calling me this name. I could feel
