The SWSLCS personnel are responsible for maintaining logistic control over SWS material (e.g. components, modules, subassemblies, assemblies, systems, etc.). These assets will be provided as Government Furnished Material (GFM) to the Fleet, Navy Supply Centers, and to specific program's prime and sub-contractors to build and maintain equipment in support of the Fleet. This material is received at NSWC Crane into the SWSLCS facilities from a wide variety of sources and shall be processed as contained herein.
7.2 Material Receiving and Storage

For Navigation and Fire Control repairable items, a 3-Card entry shall be made in SSP Advanced Inventory Logistics – Repairables (SAIL-R).
For Guidance material, if a TRIDENT Guidance Information Network (TGIN) shipment notification exists, it shall be updated with the receipt date.
7.3 Material Repair and Storage Exceptions
7.3.1 Battery Repair and Storage
a. While the OMA has already been furnished with general guidelines pertaining to receipting materials, IM will ensure OMA is aware and receive the proper documentations with respect to a receipt battery. IM will ensure batteries and a copy of the receipt document shall be given to the appropriate battery repair shop.
b. Since battery repair shop personnel is responsible for batteries, storage, and IM will ensure battery shop is notified immediately upon receipt of battery for repair until time of shipment.
7.3.2 Antenna Repair and Storage
a. SSP warehouse personnel shall notify repair technicians in antenna repair shop of shipment arrival.
