Introduction to Yahoo!: In January 2009, Carol Bartz replaced Jerry Yang as Yahoo!’s CEO. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, Yahoo! has offices in more than 25 countries, provinces, or territories. Yahoo! is the second leading global Internet brand and one of the most trafficked Internet destinations worldwide. Together with its owned and operated online services, it also offers its ad offerings and access to Internet users behind Yahoo.! Yahoo! generates revenues by providing marketing services to advertisers across hundreds of Web sites. Although many of the services Yahoo! provides to users are free, it does charge fees for a range of premium services.

While its first competitor Google took advantage of this situation and took control of the market so that Yahoo was forced to reduce its activity and abandon many of its employees.

Strengths:
• Yahoo has the maximum number of users and most revenue is generated through ads in Yahoo Mail.
• Due to its large subscriber base, Yahoo is a strong marketing company.

Social:
There are plans from Yahoo to get rid of twenty video services and close them, including its social network site Yahoo! 360 and its web hosting service GeoCities.
Technological:
The field of technology is one of the most difficult areas. Every day there are updates and developments in the field of the whole industry that may affect the sales of companies may increase them and may make them completely collapse. So, the technological impact is clearly affecting a company like Yahoo that specializes in the industry.
Legal:
In the legal environment, new legislation related to technology sharing has been imposed, some of which are concerned with patents and how to maintain information security. Therefore, the future costs and profitability in this field are difficult to predict. This includes all companies including Yahoo!
Environmental:
There are no environmental factors affect Yahoo! in this Case Study.
