INTRODUCTION Owner of the “Vitalia, tu centro de dia” Cathy Hoffmann was an occupational therapist who was exceptionally passionate about what she did for her patients. As she was progressing as a therapist, she started noticing the potential improvements that she could implement. She treated it as a market niche and decided to open her own facility, Vitalia, for the elders with mild mental health or physical adversities. After a few years, her business was successful enough to start franchising different locations of Vitalia. Due to its continuous growth, Cathy and her partners are considering their further expansion. To identify recommendations for their circumstance, this paper will conduct Vitalia’s SWOT analysis and its evaluation.

After a few experiments by herself, Cathy and three other interested individuals decided to start their privately owned organization named “Vitalia, your day care center.” Two years after her first location in Madrid, Cathy and her partners started discussing about their expansion plan. Unfortunately, her initial partners did not favor the idea of taking risks. Therefore, she teamed up with three new partners to work towards her dream. Along a number of investors, her franchise model “Vitalia Franchise” was born in 2008. Eventually, Vitalia managed to possess twelve different locations throughout Spain.
