Oggi's Competitive Advantage

Great Essays
There are three other competitive restaurants in my neighborhood that cater to sports bar themes and about seven competitive family style restaurants that are all capable of taking revenue away from Oggi’s. Of the other sports bars, Buffalo Wild Wings is the only one that I can think of that is marketed and known for sports, beer, and food just like Oggi’s. What makes Oggi’s different over Buffalo Wild Wings are the microbrewery and the overall quieter atmosphere. Oggi’s centers around the louder sports bar atmosphere, but I have also enjoyed a quieter meal with my wife sitting in the family section of the restaurant. This combination of family style and sports bar style restaurant is what I think makes Oggi’s standout over other restaurants …show more content…

The strongest points that I will make expansion possible over the next few years are the assets we currently have, the award winning micro-brewed beers, and the external availability of expansion. The assets of a friendly sport and family restaurant, the availability of almost any beer label on the market, the quality of the food, and the competitive prices are key for customer satisfaction that leads to a good reputation and expansion demand. The award-winning brewer gives us an advantage over some competitors, which also helps with customer satisfaction. TGIF restaurants make someone feel like their at home or over a friends house watching a game. Instead, Applebee 's atmosphere is more of a laid back place to be. It doesn 't really make you feel a certain way being there. Although, TGIF has a sport orientated scenery. When someone walks in they notice it right away, because it catches their eyes. Though when someone walks into Applebee 's, they are not so much amused. It looks like another plain and boring restaurant. Instead, inside of TGIF, the walls were decorated with a lot of football paraphernalia. Scenes of goal lines painted on the floor with goal post and touchdown markers at the end. The seating area was set up like the sidelines of a football stadium. Although, Applebee 's inside was not as unique and creative. On the walls of their restaurant were pictures of different islands. All you could see were bodies of blue water. The aroma that was erupting from the kitchen smelled like raw fish. It took over the whole dining area, which made some people leave. The seating area were just flat square tables with chairs or booths. The atmosphere is better at TGIF because it makes you feel like your not at a restaurant.…

The pair moved to Columbus, Ohio and found themselves craving New York-style chicken wings. They couldn't find New York-style wings anywhere around the Columbus area so they took matters into their own hands. They came up with a signature sauce that satisfied their cravings and soon opened up their first restaurant called Wild Wings & Weck. This was a huge hit and was located close to…

To capitalize on this, KRB will provide a place where people can gather and embrace their community with a local brew. KRB creates a strong connection that will make people come back and look for our beer elsewhere. The physical aspect of having a microbrewery will allow a greater presence and solid distribution lines to further differentiate ourselves from other microbrewery like the Karbach, Saint Arnold, Lone Pint, Brash, No Label, Southern Star, and Buffalo Bayou , we make an effort to get our product on shelves in local stores, increasing our visibility. As people come in and enjoy the atmosphere and beer, they will be more inclined to spread the word and look for it at their local stores. This interest will be part of a KRB pull strategy,…
