At Beowuff, with our new all natural pet food line, this is exactly what we intend to ensure. Since our pricing is slightly higher than our competitors, we are targeting middle- to upper-class pet owners to buy our product. Since we are targeting middle- to upper-class pet owners we would place our focus on metropolitan areas which would enable us to reach a larger spectrum of pet owners. This would also enable us to focus on pet-owners who are already well established and over the age of twenty-five. These individuals may be home owners or live in pet-friendly rentals and would want nothing but the best for their pet. Which is why at Beowuff, we want to ensure that the perception our consumers get is a positive one that will leave their pooches tail wagging or their cat meowing for more of Beowuff’s products (Armstrong & Kotler, 2015, pp. 144-145). Creating a partnership with a rival company that makes a similar product would not be in Beowuffs best interest, because it could appear that we have no ability to create our own pet food brand. It could also appear that the rival company simply wanted to create a new pet food line themselves and creae a confusion when it came to the products. Price a second concern, because Beowuff is priced higher than our competitors this could create an issue and potentially create a promotion of the competitions products, rather than Beowuff’s products. Our product is also in the same area of the store as our competition and if they are next to each other, our competition is well-known and that could draw consumers to them. However, if this strategy were utilized by changing the way promotion was done to where it appeared as though our competition approved of our product, it could create better sales as a result.
