Jarir has two main competitors in the market, first one is Al-Obikan bookstore and second one is Extra Company. In this part we are going to show the SWOT Analysis for each one of them.

SWOT Analysis For Al-Obikan Bookstore:

Strength:

• Location – Alobikan has many stores to make it convenient and accessible
• Books- the availability of the books in al-Obikan is like no other bookstore in the market, because they not only sell book but they also established a lot of books.
• Strong name and existing in the local market, cause they have a lot of contract with universities in Saudi Arabia.

• Website: Alobikan website is offering no help for the customers.

• Alternative book ordering resources: Amazon, epay, etc. could threat the profit the company make
• Strong competition in the local market from foreign or local competitors.

SWOT analysis for Extra:

Strength:

• They provide the best price for the customer among their competitors.
• Strong brand name in the technological industry in Saudi Arabia.
• Strong customer service and strong relationship with their customers in the social media and other channels.
• Amazing website that provide all the information the customers need about the company and also its provide information about monthly promotions and special offers.
• Online ordering system that attract and satisfy more range of customers.

Weaknesses:

• Extra have few branches comparing it to its other competitors.
• Lake in the social responsibility programs they have, and that could be considering as weakness for the company.

Opportunity:

• They may increase the number of brands they sell, seeing that they didn’t sell all brands in their stores.

Economic

• Petroleum is an integral part of the Saudi economy; KSA is the world’s largest producer and exporter of oil. So we can say that the Saudi economy is a stable economy, and that could count as benefit for the company to operate in country with stable economy.

Social

• The literacy rate among the youth (15-24 years) in Saudi Arabia is really high, 99% in male and 97% in female, and that really good rate that shows the importance of education among the new generations, and that mean the demand for the school Supplies will
