The biggest threat considered as an inhibiting factor of sustainable mining management are the presence of illegal mining and omissions company in carrying out its obligations. To do so requires decisiveness from the government to eradicate illegal mining and forcing the company to meet its obligations under the provisions of legislation, law enforcement and sanctions for mining permit holder that does not meet its obligations.
One consideration of the enactment of Law 23/2014 on regional governance is the need to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of local governance. In other words, that the activities of the regional administration have been considered not in favor of the welfare of the community and not in line with expectations.
Conclusion
Mining policy implementation as stated in Law No. 23 of 2014 is actually still in the transition phase, but it has implications for the environment with the presence of illegal mining and reduced levels mining companies reporting related to environment document sector.
